Our Beginnings
Purslane emerged from overwhelming demand. Customers at Rucola, our first restaurant, constantly requested catering services to share our seasonal cuisine during their personal celebrations and private events. We saw an opportunity to expand our reach while addressing the events industry's notorious waste problem.
As part of the Oberon Group, we launched with clear values: exceptional food shouldn't come at the planet's expense. We became New York's first Scope 3 certified carbon-neutral catering company, proving that outstanding cuisine and environmental responsibility work seamlessly together.
As we commit to zero-waste operations at every event we cater, we are setting a new standard for sustainable hospitality. We're not just feeding people—we're transforming how the industry operates, one celebration at a time.
“Thank you for your patience, and a huge thank you to the team! You made the event a success and brought such an elevated touch. Such an easy yes to work with you again.”
